Ella is a multi-disciplinary artist with a degree in Textile Design from Chelsea College of Art (2018). Her work blends poetry, ceramics and sculpture into a fluid body of ongoing research into surface design. Reading 'SUM: Forty Tales of the Afterlife' sparked an ongoing curiosity into the possibility and imagining of an afterlife. The unstoppable order and undeniable beauty of the natural world is an ongoing source of inspiration in her collections. Furthermore, flowers are a symbolic yet tender reminder of our own mortality and have become an integral object of fascination and focal point in her work.

|In particular, her latest collection 'Quiet as Thunder' embodies feelings of melancholia that evokes a dreamlike state in the viewer, intending to transfix and transport the viewer into another realm that feels strange and far away, but somehow familiar at the same time.

Soft moss, still meadow
Orchids devoured.
Wings lie separated
In the depths of a forest.
Roses bloom and petals fall
Quiet as thunder, unnoticed.

A pearl from the clouds
Caught in a net - not intended
A tiny bead making its way
to Earth
It's journey, disrupted
Not intended for consumption
Caught in a glimmering net.
Stretched out inbetween branches

Gothic moods, exploring the nature of the English countryside, delicacy and permanency of flowers
